SOUND THERAPY

Sound therapy is the art of using sound vibrations to relax the mind and body.

Sound can shift vibrations from low energy frequencies, such as guilt, fear or shame, to higher vibrations of love, peace and joy. Sound healing therapy uses instruments, tuning forks, electronic tones or the voice to release energetic blockages, inducing a state of ease, harmony and balance in the mind and body. While there are many types of sound therapy, the ultimate goal is to produce vibrations to alter brain waves. Vibrations are especially useful for healing the body, an adult body is 75% water, and water is a great conductor for sound vibration. When vibrations travel through the body, they promote circulation, energy flow and rejuvenation, creating resonance and balance. The frequency of the soundwaves synchronizes with the brainwaves and activates the parasympathetic nervous system.

Some of the benefits of sound therapy include:

  • Clears energetic blockages

  • Lowers stress levels

  • Lowers blood pressure

  • Lowers cholesterol

  • Releases Nitric Oxide

  • Activates the Vagus Nerve

  • Strengthens the immune system

  • Improves sleep quality

  • Aids emotional balance

  • Pain relief

Over the years, sound therapy has been used to help treat a number of conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism and dementia. Overall, it creates a sense of balance mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
